My partner has the iPhone XR red edition , bought Oct 2018
After the news in uk regarding network issues on 02 it’s got me wondering
For the past few months when I am talking to her her voice keeps fading and breaking and I’d say call quality isn’t that good ,
Imagine if the microphone was jumping from the main one to the rear one and back ,
anyway , numerous calls to Apple
And tried all suggestions
Use headset , that seemed ok
Reboot , update , full factory reset etc
Went genius bar , run diagnostics
No issue found ,
Back on phone to Apple
Tried a few more things but still no joy , so another trip to Genius Bar
Phone just out of warranty , they swapped it for another Red XR,
And we still got same issue with this one , in fact I’d say it was worse
When it started we was on voxi a vodaphone network
We then swapped to gift gaff an 02 network and we now in sky also 02
It’s driving me mad now ,
What is the issue , is it connected to this latest problem
I started to wonder if it was my phone that had the issue , but I rang my mate on her phone and he could hear the break up

Is the issue intermittent? I’d suggest trying a different network and see if the issue still persists.

And it’s a replacement phone as well so there got to be bigger issues with the xr

There’s millions of XR. If you’re the only one experiencing this, I’d say take it back to Apple again.

This is a replacement phone that they gave us in early December
I have seen some other reports with similar issues,
I’m wondering if there are more issues with the xr other than just the 02
