Hi there,

I bought an iPhone yesterday, I cut my blackberry sim into a microsim myself so I wouldn't have to update my data plan. The problem is sometimes calls just say "call failed" it can be in 2 seconds, it can be in 10 minutes. The sim wasn't perfectly cut, but it never says "out of service" or "sim not found" so I'm assuming that's not the problem.

Any advice?

Go to AT&T and get a proper SIM card, doing so is free and does not change your data plan.

I'm not american, where I live, changing plan is quit expensive, again, the phone never shows "invalid sim" or something like that, I even tried shaking the phone quite hard (lol i know) to see if it had something to do with it. Nothing so far, they just seem to be random.

Settings> General> Reset> Reset Network Settings

Give this a try.

Maybe a hassle but I'd try to find another device to test your sim in to see if it has the same effect on that device.
