Hey guys. I really need help with an issue I have been trying to figure out for a while now. I am trying to avoid having to pay Apple for a repair. I was in the process of trying to diagnose a wireless connectivity problem I am having with my Macbook Pro (originally purchased in 2010). I was attempting to perform a clean install of OSX Mavericks (I have not been able to connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi since the release of Yosemite).

While performing the clean install, I came to the point of attempting to restore my most recent Time Machine backup. Whenever I try to restore my Time Machine backup, OSX will begin the restore and continue for a couple of hours until there is approximately 10-12% of the restore left to go and then the restore will completely fail. I have tried multiple Time Machine backups other than the most recent one and the same error is occurring.

When I perform an install of just OSX Mavericks without trying to restore a backup, that works fine. I can then see all of my Time Machine backups via the Time Machine utility within the OS so they are there on my external Hard Drive. I just don't understand why the restore keeps failing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
