Failed update, MBP dead

My wife attempted to update her pro this past weekend and it failed. On turning the pro on the screen below appears. We both tried to restart it without luck. I've tried to boot it using the option key. I get to a picture of the hard drive, I click it and it takes me back to the grey screen.

I'm guessing I'll need to use the disks that came with it. I'd appreciate some help.

This is a 2011 model around 3 months old as well.

I copied it large if anyone needs to read what the screen says.

You could also do a clean install of Mac OS X, if you have a proper backup (which you could attempt via Target Disk Mode if you have another Mac with Firewire):

I tried a few of those links last night without any luck.

Used the disk this evening and tried disk utility (repair) this was a no go.
Tried achieve and install again, a no go.
Doing a full re install and hope this works!
