Hi,
After the apple store told me that I needed a new hardrive for my Ibook G4, I went ahead and bought one. On the advice of a techie at a Mac Specialist store, I went to a website that gives step by step instructions on how to install a new hard drive.
The website was great. However, I ran out of room to put the many, many, tiny, tiny, pieces to the computer and became totally confused by the operation. Defeated, I've kept all the little pieces, and the dead computer has been in my closet in a bag for over a year.
The computer was a gift, ann I would like to have it fixed out of principal.
Since this is basically rebuilding a computer, Will an apple store do this? Will another "Mac Specialist" store do this? If so, how much will this run me?
Thank you for any help.
