hi,
i have a 32" TV display that i like to watch dvds, tv shows on.
although its resolution is low at 1024-768, it is big and good for movies.

anyway,

i connect the TV display to my MBP and it shows up (mirroring turned on) (so both the displays and the MBP screen are at a resolution of 1024-768.
i put the MBP to sleep by closing the lid
waking it up, by clicking a mouse.
it shows up for 3 seconds in the TV display and then sleeps again. (it is not bed time yet!)

am i missing something here?. the only reason i want close lid mode is to dedicate the graphics card to the TV display so it may look nicer. and of course to save some battery.

help please.

Hi -

Everyone is having this problem. Check around the boards. It is frustrating I know . Supposedly Apple is "working on it" but its been screwed up since the last graphics revision over a month ago and no word yet...

That is really annoying,
