Faint vertical bar on Macbook 12's screen

This happened suddenly. There is a faint vertical bar approximately 1.5 inch wide, and going all the way from the top to the bottom of the screen. This bar is really only visible on a white or light colored background.

Does anyone know if I can resolve this myself without going to Apple for warranty? Thanks!

I don't know how to fix it, but I would go to Apple if nothing else works.

set the resolution to other setting, apply, and change it back to your preference resolution. tried that and it worked.

Brought it back to Apple and they replaced both my display and logic board.
