Apple with fix it by next week. I don't care either way, I this Apple's DRM is fine, I have an iPod, and have no intention of buying any other brand of MP3 player.

It's a program that looks like it uses an iMovie loophole. Not much more amazing then some AppleScript.

If it's re-encoding it (rather than de-DRMing it) isn't that the same as burning and re-importing (just more convenient)?

This is basically a fancy applescript to automate the well known iMovie workaround. It's yet another burn-and-rerip equivalent (without the CD), not an actual Fairplay crack.
