Came across a 20" Imac with Snow Leopard, upgraded to 4GB/250GB Hard Drive with a Core2Duo. My question is this, is this a fair price for this machine, and I know this thread may be chewed up, but I am very hesitant.

I have a suggestion:

Tell us what the price is. Just a thought, you know.

What processor speed?

$600 sounds a bit high even for a 2.66 GHz--I'm not sure I'd buy one for more than $450 or so, and proportionately less for earlier processors.

Best advice is to check out eBay and follow some auctions for a day or two. Track a few and find out what the final selling prices are...

Keep in mind, prices shoot up the last few hours of auctions.

Also, refurb current iMacs are in the 1000-1100 range with 4 processors and better graphics cards, along with higher resolution screens.

I probably wouldn't consider more than $500 for that model.

The machine is the aluminum body. Apple Imac Intel Core2Duo 2.0 ghz.

Thank you all for the help thus far!

Wow. I personally wouldn't go above $350 for a 2.0 GHz aluminum. $600 sounds . . . criminal. (Just kidding, but that's WAY too high.)
