I'm hoping to sell my iPad 3 in order to help pay for the Air 2. I listed it on Craigslist and haven't had much response.

I've had a couple of offers for $250. That seems low to me. I have it listed at $295 which is a bit less than similar iPad 3s (4G, 32GB) on Craigslist in the DC area.

Am I overvaluing my iPad?

1. Tablet market is pretty saturated. Most people already have ipad 2-5

2. Many sales on iPad Air. Considering staples was selling 32gb iPad Air for $469 wifi a few weeks ago.

Walmart was selling 16gb ipad 4 for $299 also.

$250-300 tops for our of warranty 2.5 year old ipad 3 seems reasonable.

iPad 3 has horrible resale value.

I got iPad 3 64gb Verizon LTE for $829 at launch. Just simply not worth it for me to sell it. Horrible resale value. Just let me kids use and abuse the iPad 3. And we still take it on road trips since I got unlimited lte sim from my Verizon phone line in that iPad.

Will just use ipad 3 lte until I eventually replace it (which is pretty soon). Also have two ipad Airs as well.
