What's a good price for the ibook in my sig. It has ilife '06 and Microsoft word. It's in good condition, normal wear and tear no huge scratches or dinges. I did have a serial number engraved on the bottom while in college living in the dorms, nothing big(it's pretty small and it's on the bottom). Thanks

iBooks with 800 Mhz processors have sold for the following on ebay lately:

$649
$474
$610
$379
$431
$560
$475
$525
$379
$441
$379
$379
$569
$407
$406
$700
$629
$379
$425
$565

So, your Mac is likely worth between $379 and $700 depending on your buyer and depending on luck.

There's no way you can get $700 for a 800Mhz G3 iBook...are you sure those weren't 800Mhz G4's?

I would say more around your beginning $379-$450 price.

$500-550 if it comes with the software and system disks.

You are right, the $700 one was a G4. I searched again making sure only to include G3 models and this time came up with:

$474, 610, 379, 431, 525, 379, 441, 379, 379, 569, 407, 629, 379, 425, 565, 410, 450, 499, 379, 474, 459, 474, 379, 509, 450, 510, 510, 379, 635, 379, 430, 661, 379.

While no one paid $700, four went for over 600 with the highest being $661.

I would agree with that.
