Hey guys, so heres the deal. I have a 5-6 month old Macbook Pro 15inch 2.66ghz all stock. The harddrive has the stupid head parking issue so i have HDAPM running to make it stop.
The issue now is whenever I search for something on spotlight or click on an app, the hard drive makes the normal working sound but its a lil too often... it sounds like i have a HP from the year 1995, when you can head the hard drive trying to access everything. This rarely happened before and it is noticably slower. It also beachballs alot more often too.
So, what should i do? should i disregard it, or should i reformat the drive using the "zero out data" method...(would that help?). I have tried repairing permiss, everything is fine and SMART says the drive is okay.
Any sugguestions or help would be highly appreicated, thank you in advanced yall!
