Guys I hate this marketing trick, when you go in the compare iPhone page for example, you see that the iPhone 17 Pro has those optical zoom options : x0.5, x1, x2, x4 and x8...
Well here the zooms x2 and x8 are not real optical zoom, like Apple says they are "optical-quality", well I would prefer Apple to not say this because it's confusing and yes the image quality drops, we saw in the Apple event that it gives a similar quality to 12mp optical zoom at x8 (not 48), so yeah it proves the quality is lower when you zoom to x8...
So you will say that you don't see the difference, but if you take a RAW photo well there you will see !!
So Apple, you better remove this x8 and x2 advice or add two more cameras to the iPhone.
