I have about 6 terabytes of external storage connected via fire wire and usb to my current Alu MBP.
I just ordered a unibody Macbook Pro and will use my Alu Macbook Pro as my Back Up system and other appropriate functions.
I do a lot of photo editing, but from time to time through out the week I take my laptop with me for presentations and such.
What I would like to do is have all my drives and peripherals connected to my Alu MBP to create a form of Network storage using the Alu Macbook Pro as the hub. I would then access the files on the external drives by connecting the Unibody to the Alu MBP via ethernet cable.
Does this idea make sense? What this allows me to do is process files while I am away and have batch processing on one machine while I am doing heavy editing on another. Perhaps I could even use a remote client, while away, something like my pc or similar....
