So Cal
I am installing whited00r a modded 3.1.3 on a friends phone to make it faster, but want to fake ios 4.02 so he can install 4.0 dependent apps.
Whats the worst that could happen :p?

Trying to run those apps could cause the iDevice to crash and force it to restart. These crashes could cause system files to become corrupt and force the user to restore the iDevice. In most, if not all, cases when the app says it need 4.0 or greater. It really means it and won't run at all on older firmwares.

crap >.>
maybe ill just leave him on an optimized 4.0

its just cripplingly slow on a 3g as opposed to my 4(obviously :p).
