Hi everybody. So, I'm on the phone with my girlfriend, and we're kinda just keeping each other company, and she dozes off. So I'm still on the phone, racking up my minutes, and I don't really want to just hang up on her, but what choice do I have. Anyway, what do you guys do when your girlfriend falls asleep when you're on the phone?

I get on the internet and make frivolous posts until she wakes up and I can tell her goodbye.

I would give some serious thought about what topic you discuss with her on the phone, because you may actually bore her to sleep without fully realizing how boring you can be. ;)

if she is asleep, you hang up. and if she gets upset? well she's the one who fell asleep in the first place.

Whatever you do, stay on the phone. Offer to pay for her minutes later. This will serve as proof of how much you love her. Make some coffee so you can be sure to remain conscious. When she wakes up in several hours and you're still there hanging on, she will be in no way completely creeped out. She'll totally dig you for it, really.

How can you have a phone conversation with your hand? It seems like there might be interference from using the phones so close together.

and hang up. If you're that uninteresting, you've got larger issues then what she thinks of you hanging up.

You were significantly less insufferable when your condundrums revolved around "help I'm hopeless with girls" instead of "help (lookit how cuuuuuuuute we are I'm in looooooooove)" :p

it's pretty obvious what you have to do when someone falls asleep on you on the phone. march on over to her place, wake her up, and return to where you were to continue that wonderful conversation that put her to sleep in the first place. repeat if necessary, or just hang up.

We just say "I'm feeling tired" and do the byebye stuff. How can you fall asleep using the phone

I like that idea...but she lives in another town, I don't have a license (yet) or a car, and the busses don't run that late. But otherwise the idea is brilliant. :D

Sit and listen to the calming sound of her snoring.

You could always try some subliminal messaging while she is in a relaxed and unconscious state.

"You want to buy me some tacos. You want..."

You just say good night baby, and hang up.
I'm sure she's not expecting you to be their in morning.

I miss those silly days, when I was younger.
When my wife and I were first dating. We would watch t.v. together, over the phone. Until one of us would fall asleep.

So... are you still on the phone?

And what's up with all the newbies asking random and apparently hallucinogen-induced questions in the middle of unrelated threads instead of starting their own?

Well, I did just get off the phone with her, but that was an unrelated phone call. We're going to the Rhode Island School Of Design museum and then I'm going to make her dinner. I was teasing her about falling asleep on the phone. She hung up the phone at one point during the night, so she thought that she hung up on me, but this happened after I finally hung up (after almost and hour and a half).

I should also mention I sang her a song. :D

As for the newbies...um...weird.. :\

What I like about that is she might hear you say it in her dreams (I hear my family talking whilst I'm asleep, makes for some really strange dreams). That'd be all sweet and junk.

Ghall; maybe get a different phone plan? Me and teh Caroline are on Vodaphone with some £7 service where you can ring each other for as long as you want. But I wouldn't pay £7 a month to hear her sleeping :p
