Why does not one of these later day software developers get hold of Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas & DLC and get them onto the Mac ?

Feral, Aspyr, anychance ?

That would be sweet indeed. I wish either of them could make a deal with Bethesda for those and the Elder Scrolls games too.

Skyrim is over 3 year old now...I think anyone who wanted to play this game already has - on Windows (natively or parallels etc).

Time hasn't stopped games such as Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and 3 from being released on the Mac years after their Windows debuts.

Two simple reasons for the lack of the titles mentioned in this thread are 1) Bethesda/Zenimax doesn't want to hand over the license to outside firms and/or 2) limitations of the game engine make it extremely difficult, if not impossible to port to OS X. I would say 2 is the far more likely scenario.

I would say 1 is far more likely, actually. They don't care enough about the Mac to bother. The games use Gamebryo as the engine, which is cross-platform.

Nope. I still haven't. In fact I haven't gotten around to Oblivion either nor the Fallouts. I blame WoW for this along with other games.
