Family and Friends Streams???

Hello,

I've been going through my MacBook trying to clear up hard drive space.

I have discovered that I have 148 photos in my iPhoto library but that finder says it is over 6 gigs in size.

I used "Show Package Contents" and found that the Family and Friends Streams are are on my hard drive.

Shouldn't they be only on iCloud unless I actually import them?

Might I have some settings wrong that are causing my iPhoto to download them?
