Hi all,

I have an Apple TV setup with my Apple ID. I’ve added one family member as another user to the Apple TV. But here’s the problem. Every time I take out my own AirPods Max, I get that pop up kind of message on Apple TV suggesting to connect the AirPods Max to the TV. But the family member isn’t able to connect her AirPods Max to the TV. Pop up doesn’t appear. It isn’t shown in the menu at the right side where you switch users. Bluetooth search also doesn’t show her AirPods Max.

Did anyone else experience anything similar?

Does the other family member have their own Apple ID? If so, I'd recommend setting up an additional user. Once you do that, when they switch to their account, their own AirPods should show up the way yours do. They should still have access to all the streaming apps installed, but will also get their own Up Next queue, which is handy.

It isn’t shown in the menu at the right side where you switch users. Bluetooth search also doesn’t show her AirPods Max.
If you don't want to set up the additional profile as mentioned above, you should be able to get the other family member's AirPods Max to go into pairing mode this way: "On AirPods Max, press and hold the noise control button for about five seconds, or until the status light flashes white."

I would recommend the profiles method, though, as it should (I think) keep their AirPods Max from showing up on your other devices -- as they might do if you just manually pair them to the Apple TV while logged in with your own Apple ID.
