Family Plan w/ other Smart Phone

My wife has a Palm Centro and I have a Treo 680. We are on a family plan (700 shared min., unlimited data on both lines) If I want to upgrade to the iPhone 3G, will I get the $199 price tag or something greater? Also, will I have to change my plan or is the generic PDA plan the same as the iPhone plan?

I would answer that however the AT&T online agent that I was chatting with seems to be getting irritated with all of my questions and that was the last one that I asked but she keeps telling me to go to an AT&T store or call some 866 number. Oh well.

ETA: When i asked about the 3G phone, she had no info on pricing. She actually questioned the price I said ($199) and said that she doubted it would be that cheap. I didn't feel like a pissing match so I didn't suggest that she check with Steve.
