Family Plans and Eligibility

Hey guys, so I am pre ordering for the first time (hopefully) and I am planning on using my family members upgrade which I have done numerous times in the past, but I always have handled it in the store. So for preorder I say that I am upgrading the other line and then when it gets to me, do I just switch out the sims and have at&t switch over the phone number? Any insight would be great!

FYI, this same question has been asked and answered in many other threads in the past couple days.

Do as you mention, either switch SIMs if the other phone takes a microSIM (phone # follows SIM), or call AT&T upon receipt before activating it and have them swap the upgrade around.

Okay thanks, and I have been the reading the board, but have not seen a clear answer. I will delete this now that I know.
