Family Share fingerprint approval

Under iOS8, I could use fingerprint approval for family purchases.

iOS9 doesn't appear to support fingerprint approval for my children's purchase requests, and so I'm constantly typing...

Did it really go away (I hope temporarily), as mentioned in this apple thread? Or am I missing something obvious?
