Family Sharing and updating previously purchased apps

Like many other family units before Family Sharing existed, we shared one user account for all purchases. In other words, other members would be logged into my Apple ID in the App/iTunes Store and their own Apple ID for everything else (Messages, Mail, iCloud). For irrelevant reasons, I recently decided to switch/utilize Family Sharing. We’ve seemingly made it over and around most hurdles and snags. However, at least one problem/annoyance exists: them updating apps. Those apps are now shared by me, although, purchased directly from my account. I know, even app updates require the original purchaser account credentials. Therefore, the App Store is asking for my Apple ID password. To me, this is an oversight by Apple. They are allowed to use apps, books, etc owned by me but only if they re-download them after this re-granted permission.

Any way the other members can avoid re-downloading every app just to get update ability?
