This worked perfectly on an ATV 4K and several ATV 4 ever since the current software came out. Then a few days ago, broke.

Removed GF from Family Sharing, readded, rebooted, even reset one ATV from scratch, nothing.

All of them say when we switch user ‘want to try channels’ for her. Before it had the HBO and CBS channels for her also.

Anyone have a suggestion before I get desperate and call Apple tomorrow?

Soooo.... this fixed itself on the hub 4K and the ATV 4’s after about 48 hours after I removed and reinvited/readded my GF. The two channels show up on both users now. It takes a few seconds after you switch users but they are there.

Anyone know if this is normal or is there some system issue that was just fixed? Hope it sticks this time...

I had this same issue with my family. I didn’t try to remove my family’s members because there’s a time restriction on when that family member can rejoin the family.

I contacted  support and they fixed it.

Go to Settings > Your name > Family Sharing > Purchase Sharing. Toggle switch off then on.

Exit back out to  ID. This time tap iTunes & App Store. Sign out and then sign back in.

Have your family members force quit the TV app. Then launch it again and it should be fixed.

So, you this isn't a purchase. Channels don't have a toggle. And there is no app to quit. This was for 'users' on the ATV itself.

I think this issue here was more they had it broken, since it did fix itself. If it happens again, I'll give them a call.

Thanks for the tip on purchases, though, if that breaks, I'll try it your way.

I didn’t say toggle Channels. And the tv app is an app and you can force quit it. Channel subscriptions are considered as purchases as well as subscriptions.

Glad it’s fixed for you nonetheless.

If force quitting the TV app would update anything after toggling purchases, great... I think this was the Apple Server issue, as now it hesitates as it looks up the other channels on the other users account, and before it immediately failed and gave the 'try channels' response.

I'll try toggling the purchases and force quitting the TV app next time, thanks!
