Two Apple users in the family.
Two unique Apple IDs.
Family sharing enabled. Both iPhone 13 Pro phones are running IOS 16.2
After extensive research, it's apparent that Apple never intended for Family Sharing to support shared contacts, i.e. in the same manner if 2 phones used the same Apple ID: contact added / deleted / edited is automatically reflected on the other phone.
The only solution I found involves:
- Create yet another Apple ID which will be used for sharing
- Move all contacts to this new shared Apple ID
- Add new Apple ID as an additional account in Contacts app on each phone
Doable. More maintenance of course.
Any other suggestions?
If it helps: both email addresses associated with Apple IDs are supported by Office 365 in the cloud (MS Exchange).
