Fan Compatibility

Hey guys, i have a 1st gen 15" mbp here, and my fan is on its way out. Sounds like a bad tape deck from the 80s. Anyways, I also have a scrapped newer macbook. I believe its a 13" 2nd or 3rd gen.

Are the fans swappable? would save me some cash... thanks in advance!

Open them both up, if the size and connectors are the same, then yes.

I get the feeling a 13" has smaller fans than a 15".
