I recently installed an app called fan control, & it placed it my system preferences, I looked all in finder & in my apps file for it but could not see it, but I found it in system preferences. When I open it it shows as 32 bit, how do I know how accurate it is, since my macbook pro 2010 is running snowleopard, & I think it is 64 bit.

Also, how does one uninstall an app that just places itself in the system preferences but not in the apps folder along with all the others in finder? why are they not an app & with all the other apps?

are there any good apps for controlling the macs temperature?
