I had a technician install a SSD on my iMac 27" 2011 underneath my 2TB HDD. Before the installation the 2TB HDD was quite as a snail. I did not hear the fan at all. Now, after the SSD has been installed, right after every boot, the fan is working non stop. What can I do about it? I installed fan control app but don't know how to set it.

Fan Control is pretty self-explanatory. Drag the sliders to where you're comfortable with the speeds and thresholds.

It's possible he borked the sensors though.

sounds like he reconnected the little wire on the hdd back on the ssd. i would just short the wire out
