Fan issue - need assistance

Hey everyone,

I have a mid 2009 MBP, no previous issues..but I've noticed recently (while monitoring my iStat widget) that even at temps of 83 degrees Celsius, my fans are running at around 2003 RPM. Previously, anywhere over 60 degrees the fans would be at at least 2500 if not 3000 rpm, and at 83 they would have been at around 5000 rpm.

What could be the issue, and is there an easy solution?

Have you tried an SMC reset yet?
