Looking to upgrade as i've had my Air for 4 years now - Still working perfectly might i add and still rapid, just want a bigger SSD.

I'm looking at the RMBP as i like the retina screen, my only concern is the fan, can someone comment on fan noise?

the air is super quiet and i've never really noticed it when i've stressed it (not often)

I would buy a new air but i believe the screen is rather outdated now so would be nice to have a better viewing experience for movies and such

Cheers

My 13 inch rMBP is almost always cool and quiet (silent even). Of course start running anything graphically or computationally intensive (or flash and/or chrome) and the fans spin up and make a bit of noise like they are meant to.
