Fan problem after Repair

my macbook pro mid 2009 was having video distortion problems so I sent it in and they replaced my logic board.

Got it back and now when I awaken it from being asleep (close - open lid) the fan speeds up to 4000rpms for a few secs then slows down.

DAW acting up using way too much CPU now.

Reset SMC and PRAM and NVram... didn't fix it.

What could be going on?

your processor reloads everything and heats up so the fans kick in to cool down? mine does that =D i see no issues
