I have a 2011 13" macbook pro that I purchased off of Kijiji. The person said that there was water damage. I opened it up and found a couple of spots that were corroded and I cleaned them with alcohol. The laptop works flawlessly with one problem. The fan is running full speed. Obviously something wrong with the sensor. Is it possible to connect a small resistor into the power feeding the fan to slow it down?

Didn't work and I have installed monitoring programs which show the fan rpm at 0
