I keep my 2009 Unibody MacBook Pro on an M-Stand. I closed the lid last night and it was completely off, no fan, heat, anything.

This morning I woke up and the fan was running at full speed, and the computer was very hot. Before I could open the lid, it shut off. I have no idea how long it was running but sometime during the night it began running.

I have a SSD but there was no TM backup done like the MBA's do while asleep. What could this be? Could there be some kind of malware using my processor remotely?

Thanks!

hmm

i found my mbp doing the same thing I usually put it down at night to sleep mode and as of lately it too has the fans on and hot..
