Hi guys, How are you guys checking fan speeds and battery health?

I've seen screenshots around the board. I found battery cycle under utilities but it doesn't show health.

Thanks for any help. Cheers.

For the health you need to use a third party app like coconutBattery.

I monitor temperature and fan speed with the little tool smcFanControl.

Thanks Guys! Didn't realize I had to go 3rd party app only.

Cheers!

Edit: Hey guys, I don't think it is working. Shows 0degrees and 1201rpm.

How to do I get it to work? Thanks again.

It is not (yet) optimized for the new MBAs. Wait a little. Normally, when the temperature reaches more than 44°C it will show correct values. You can also dig a little in the source code. I manually added the new Macbook Air 6,1 to the Machines.plist, for example, and recompiled the project. Works great so far.

You can also use istat menu, but it'll cost you 16 bucks.

There's another software called Temperature Monitor. http://www.bresink.com/osx/TemperatureMonitor.html

ahh i see.

Thanks for pointing that out. I'll wait it out. Thanks Man!
