Hi,
Since upgrading from leopard 10.5.3 to 10.5.4 my powerbook now starts the right fan at 60ºC but doesn't stop it till it reaches 57ºC. With previous 10.5.3 it also started at 60ºC but stopped when it cooled down back to 60ºC.This makes the fans to be on much more time but it also makes much more noise which gets in my nerves.
How can I get back the fan behavior from 10.5.3?

Thanks
Powerbook 1.5GHz 15.2" 1GB
Mac os x leopard 10.5.4

Thanks, but those programs are for intel computers and I have a PPC G4.
Anyway I tried it with G4fancontrol but it didn't change the system fan temperature settings

Mea culpa. I haven't noticed that you have G4. Maybe it's silly, but can you downgrade to 10.5.3? If the problem with fans is a result of Apple's fault in 10.5.4, the next update may fix it. You might also contact Apple's technical support.
