I was wondering if anyone else has had troubble with there fan after having a logic board replaced. I have a ibook 900 G3, thet is 3 months and 10 days old. About a week and a half ago the logic board died I had it fixed under warranty and got it back tuesday evening. Wensday night the fan came on full speed and has not shut off since. I have tried restarting, reseting the PMU, and booting from a disk. And by full speed, i mean FULL SPEED. The fan in the ibook is a backup fan and under normal opperation should never come on. (untill it reaches a set temp, I believe 148) it is also a varable speed fan, and in my 2 ibooks i have never heard a fan run this hard.

As far as apple qualities going down hill: i have a 600 MHZ ibook, logic board died and replaced under warranty. it died a second time out of warranty and i was quoted $700 to have it fixed. So, i bought a 900 mhz ibook, which has already ate one logic board and has Kernal Panicks on a regular basis. I am currently filing a complain with apple as well as sending it in to have the fan fixed. I have had this computer for 2 days out of the past 2 weeks, and it's going back in tomorro. This is horrible. I had a apple IIE, a mac preforma, a imac and 2 ibooks. I have been a looyal apple customer for 12 years and after my experence with ibooks I am sorry to say i probably will not buy another apple coumuter.
