Although I agree with the poster that the background is probably too hot for your computer to handle, I think placing the blame on SMC is a good first step, since it seems you have nothing showing in Activity monitor that can be using enough CPU to get your computer that hot.

However I also see that your temp is a whopping 67degrees, which is high enough to cause the fans to come on at that speed. Therefore I have two guesses:

1- your computer has faulty sensors: does your computer feel hot at all? As in very hot (palm rests, strip between keyboard and display, bottom), as in hot enough to justify the insides being at 67 degrees?

2- Something comes on and off in the background using very high CPU usage. To catch this I recommend you place the % CPU usage in your menu bar as well and monitor it frequently.

For comparison, using average things like messenger, web browsing, email, itunes, and ical, my MBP CPU temp hovers around 49-52 degrees.
