Hey Guys,

My mbp'd fans are going crazy whenever i'm in Windows, even without doing anything. People tell me it's normal, but I'm really having doubts about that :s

This is a screen of my machine's performances with live messenger running and picture viewer open - nothing else:

My specs are:

2.3 gHz i7 processor
8 gb ram
512 gb SSD
AMD Radeon HD 6750M with 1Gb DDR3 ram
Windows 7 64-bit

I hope some one can tell me if this is normal or not or if I can do anything about it cause it's driving me crazy! It makes as good as no noise at all when i'm in Mac OS :S

It is somewhat normal, fan management in windows is shoddy at best. You could perhaps get something like Lubbos' FanControl to manage them manually according to temperature, otherwise, there isn't much you can do really.

Do you use it through boot camp? I have it loaded through bootcamp and vmware, mine have come on when I accessed it through bootcamp, not sure about vmware. I have the same exact setup you have.
