Hey I just got my macbook pro repaired and they replaced the logic board.

The fans are MUCH louder now. I keep them at around 3000 rpm with SMC and never heard them before. Now they annoy me. Any ideas?

What MacBook Pro? Early/Late 2008?

They probably replaced your fans as well as the mobo. Some of the fan units are louder than others. I wound up replacing one on my former MBP because it liked to growl all the time. :D

You might try running them a bit faster or slower to reduce the noise. You may also only have one that makes more noise than the other so you can adjust the speed on that one.
