My new M4Max studio seems very reluctant to spin up its fans. A handbrake encode test saw the fans remain at low speed even as the cpu temp climbed above 220f for periods of time. Is that normal?

The only way I could get the fans to kick in was to do a Apple Diagnostic by holding the power button in and
Press and hold Command (⌘)-D on your keyboard.when on boot screen

Maybe I should just try and find a fan control option. I heard somebody cracked the m4 fan control problem, I'll dig around for that and give it a shot.
