I have a late 2007 MBP (2.2/2.4 Ghz, A1226) och i have recently bought a new battery, in conjunction with installing Mavericks. The problem now is that the fans just randomly spin up to 6000 rpm when the computer is charging, and then after 4-6 minutes it spins down to 2000 rpm again. The temperature doesn’t change much during this time, it stays between 50-60 °C during this whole ordeal and the fans still freak out.
If i pull the power cord when the fans start to go nuts they spin down quite quickly, when the power cord are inserted again the fans stay at low rpm for a while and then (completely random, it’s not the same time intervall at all when i noted it down) then start going crazy again.

The only thing i had running was Safari and stil the same thing happens, i kept track of the processes and i don’t really see anything that goes above 10%, some Safari tab process sometimes goes up to 20% for a short while but that’s the “worst” i’ve seen in terms of CPU usage.

I tried reseting the SMC but that didn't help.
I just recently also reset the PRAM so i have yet to see if that did improve the issue.
