Fans run really loud whenever I use my Macbook Pro

Hi all! Hope everyone is having a happy holiday.

I was wondering if someone could assist me with a question. I have my Macbook pro for almost 2 years now. I noticed that many of times when I use it, the fans run really loud. Sometimes when I'm watching TV shows and movies, and other times when I on it in my classes. My boyfriend, who also has a Macbook pro noticed it as well- commenting on how strange that it gets veryyy loud. I didn't notice my Macbook pro doing this the first year I had it at all.

Any suggestions/ideas on what is going on and what I can do to solve the problem?
