I am currently using my i7 for folding@home( and boy is it a monster at folding). What I have noticed is while I am using the computer, the CPU fan speeds up to 2000 RPM to keep it cool naturally at around 58 C. Then when I leave it idle with folding@home still going and the display goes to sleep, the CPU fan slows down to 1400 RPM and CPU temps rise to 68 C. This is odd behavior to me considering my MBP always kept the fans spinning at 5500 RPM even when the display went to sleep. Just wondering if this is normal behavior for others.
