Fans spin really fast for non graphic intensive games

So, I just purchased my Macbook a couple days ago and decided to download CSR Racing from the App Store. To my surprise, the fans began spinning very fast and the macbook got very warm. I wouldn't consider this to be a very graphic intensive game as even iPods are capable of playing this game. I have the macbook pro with the 750M graphics card. Any idea why it is getting so warm on such a simple game?

The fans also spin faster due to the CPU being used more than it normally does.

Take a look at Activity Monitor under the CPU tab and the the CPU column to see, how much CPU that game is using.

It does not matter whether the game is graphics intensive or not. Most games are quite simple when it comes to efficient resource utilisation and would redraw the contents as quickly as the hardware can.
