Fans with 6000 rpm

I have MBP15. My fans are allways on 6000 rpm. I am not using many resources and it's still allways between 5500-6000 rpm. Is it normal? What;s wrong with my MBP15 ?

If your fans are always running high and your temps aren't high, try resetting the SMC.

they are always at that temp? mine only go that high when my cpu or gpu temps rise.

do you have istat or similar? what are your gpu/cpu temps. What processes are running? How much of your cpu is being used?

what are your temperatures?
check your activity monitor for any runaway processes (filter by % CPU descending)

If you're viewing Flash they go up. What are you doing when they rise or is it when you have nothing running they just start at 6k, if that's the case reset the SMC like the above comment stated.
