iPod touch Fasst battery charging but very poor battery life

I've tried most ways to improve battery life and have even completely restored but still the same thing. I still have AppleCare warranty so should I take it to apple?

Absolutely, if its not working to your liking and its a hardware failure. Make them replace it.
