Fast forward/Slow motion effect- iMovie/QuickTime

I am just starting the get into editing some footage using iMovie and QuickTime. It seems extremely limited atm. Is there a way for me to fast forward or slowmotion a certain part of a clip?

Thanks for the help. It looks like that is a feature iMovie '08 doesn't have unfortunately :/ I guess I have to upgrade...
