Fast mark words in browser search field produces weird/backward keyboard typing

Steps to reproduce this:

- open Safari or Chrome
- go to a site with a search fields, e. g. amazon.com
- type a word and quickly
- mark the word and quickly type new letters

This happens for me with Macbook Air and Macbook Pro 2016 when touchpad dragging is enabled under Accessebility - Mouse & Trackpad - Trackpad Options...
