So, i stopped using MS Word because of the Spaces incompatibility, which made working that much more irritating.
One thing that i find just as irritating in Pages is the time it takes to save a document. For example, when I start a paper, i will save the blank document, in .doc (for compatibility) and i usually have to go to the specific folder. After 15 minutes of writing, i CMD+S to save, but the entire dialog box comes up, and i have to go to the right folder in which it isnt by default even if im working on a document previously saved in the right spot, and then change the extension to .doc, even if im working on the SAME document in .doc.
Is there a way so just have "Save" simply save the thing without changing everything? If I want to change the name or whatnot, I'd use 'Save As', thats what its there for. 'Save' shouldn't be so complicated.
