I'm looking around for a USB flash drive stick that is fast enough to run OS X off of it. So I'm thinking an 8GB or 16GB, but any idea on what is a good speed? I've tried it out already on a USB stick I just had lying around, but it runs pretty slow. What's the fastest flash drive out there right now?

Any ideas? Thanks!

P.S. I'm considering this one.

If I'm not mistaken I'm pretty sure OS X can't be run of a USB device, only FireWire. You might want to look into a FireWire external hard drive.

Intel Imac's are definatly USB bootable. I just cloned my harddrive to upgrade it and booted off the USB version to make sure it was a good copy before I pulled the drive to swap.

Do you plan on booting OSX alot off the usb drive? wouldnt the page files ruin the drive after awhile?
